David Kilgallon is multi instrumentalist, composer and producer from the Isle of Man. With a background in Electroacoustic & Orchestration Composition he has created works for various forms of medium from TV, Radio, Social Media, Podcast to Orchestras, Choirs, Brass Bands and immersive Audio experiences.

Growing up on the Isle of Man, he maintains an appetite for combining traditional, classical & electroacoustics to forge new collaboration, projects & performances on the Island but also further afield to the UK & Europe.

He is also a professional musician and founded trad supergroup MecLir who tour worldwide and continues to work with various creative projects on and off the Isle of Man including Brittany based groups, Neear Nesan.

He produces and directs the annual calendar event 'Manannan's Winterfest' which takes place in the Gaiety Theatre and brings together around 100 artists to create a unique collaborative experience that combines folklore, music, drama and dance all into one evening. 

He is also a member of the Isle of Man Arts council and mentor to Scran, a traditional youth movement spearheaded by Culture Vannin.
